Dylan Vitone’s photographs explore location and personality and are extraordinary combinations of portrait and documentary photography. Vitone’s panoramas are constructions as well as they are deconstructions – multiple images are melded to create one moment. Yet they are purposefully stitched with readily apparent seams. Each image is composed of many hours or days often with multiple portraits of the same person throughout the photograph. Without judgement, sarcasm or comment, Vitone presents a modern panorama.
